Can I transfer a domain I already registered elsewhere?
Yes. You request the auth code from the current registrar, send it to us and we do the transfer in up to 5 business days. The remaining period of the previous registration is preserved and you still get +1 year.
What happens if I don't renew in time?
The domain enters a grace period (30 days for .com.br, 30 days for .com) where you can still renew paying the normal price. After that, it goes to auction or is released. That's why we have notices at 3 moments before expiration.
Do I need to have a site on BRASCAST to register a domain?
No. Domain registration is independent. You can register and use it with any hosting or service — just need to point the DNS. If you use it with BRASCAST, configuration is automatic.
How long does it take to go live after registration?
The registry releases it within 24 hours. DNS propagation on the internet usually takes between 15 minutes and 2 hours — you can access it through most providers in less than 1 hour.
